Stuttgart Mitte, die Christengemeinschaft, helmikuu 2013. Tämä kuva on otettu vasta lauantaina 23. päivä, mutta rohkenin tehdä ”aikahypyn”, sillä perjantaina sain kuulla ja nähdä kaikenlaisia ihmeellisiä asioita, aamupäivällä suoritetuista pappisvihkimyksistä iltapäivän juhliin, jolloin puhetta oli mm. ”ajan taikalantista”. Joten, ehkä nuoli ei välttämättä kulje pelkästään yhteen suuntaan. Olin paikalla ystävänä ja talvilomaturistina. Suunnittelin matkaa jo vuotta aiemmin, mutta rahatilanteeni vuoksi se ei ollut silloin mahdollista. Ensimmäistä kertaa näin myös Waldorf-koulun. En ollut käynyt Stuttgartissa seitsemään vuoteen, enkä koskaan aiemmin tällä alueella.

It can be demonstrated how any specific form of artistic activity affects a specific member of the human constitution in working to harmonize and heal. The creative forces that have been instilled in humans are not developed at all in our civilization. They lie fallow in the soul but are yearning for expression. They are present in everyone and want to be brought to bear in the world around us. Modern occupations and careers, as they have developed, allow no space or time for such activity. Syksyllä 1919 avattiin Waldorf-Astoria -tehtaan työläisten lapsille uraa uurtava koulu (jonka malleja seurattiin Suomessa joitakin vuosikymmeniä myöhemmin). Kuvassa uusi rakennus.
Kävelin alueen ympäri ja sain kunnian vierailla koulurakennuksessa, oppaani ja ystäväni kapteeni Lars Karlssonin kutsumana. Kristiyhteisön pappina ja 80-luvulla opiskeluaikoinaan myös koulun oppilaiden vanhempana oltuaan hän järjesti meidät luontevasti kierrokselle paikkaan, joka tuli minulle näin tutuksi. Koko matkani Stuttgartiin oli hänen ansiotaan, sillä kapteeni pyysi mukaan seuraamaan pappisvihkimystä. Vaikka olinkin ollut ajatuksen tasolla edellisvuonna lentoon lähdössä, vasta nyt pääsin fyysisesti käymään kukkulalla. Elämys oli ainutkertainen jo pelkästään ajankohtansa vuoksi, puhumattakaan muista syistä.
